Parental Support For Individuals

My support at the individual level includes:

  • Initial coaching questionnaire and scheduled introductory call to determine challenges and areas of support

  • Phase 1 Support:

    • Support in feeling less alone in the process

    • Logistical organization in balancing additional fertility treatments and protocols with work

    • Empowerment to advocate for support (extra time for appointments, privacy at work to administer medications)

    • Frameworks and tools for difficult conversations with colleagues and supervisors

  • Phase 2 Support:

    • Development and collaboration on workplace action plans, support around logistics, navigating difficult or significant conversations with employer, etc.

    • Personal planning for maternity leave

    • Maintaining/building place and value at company and preparing for maternity leave

    • Managing anticipatory anxiety for being viewed or engaged with differently while pregnant

    • Setting your team up for success while on leave

    • Advocating for needs and resources to ensure focus is maintained

  • Phase 3 Support:

    • Managing and navigating this transitional time

    • Re-engaging and reconnecting with your desired identities (mom, professional worker, wife, friend)

    • Navigating “workplace emotions” (feeling disconnected, urgency to check in, anxiety of being away during economic uncertainty

    • Bridging the gap between your current world as a mom and your future work world

    • Helping focus negotiating the right role and balance for return to work

  • Phase 4 Support:

    • Supporting the heartbreak and grief that can come along with returning to work (Postpartum hormone changes are very real)

    • Investigating self esteem and identity as a working professional (aka Why is someone watching my baby and I’m here? or Why are people treating me differently now at work?)

    • Advocating for the support/resources you need as you return to work (alignment on projects, reallocation of roles/responsibilities, a pumping room, etc.)

    • Supporting in reclaiming “working professional identity”

    • Rebuilding and fostering confidence to have the desired balance at work and at home
